My documentary style family photography sessions across Derbyshire capture things as they actually happen.


Getting kids to cooperate for photos is usually the hardest part for parents, so I don't ask for it. I'll guide you gently through some movement and interaction, then step back and let things unfold naturally.


Sessions take place across Derby, Ashbourne, Burton, Chesterfield and the wider Derbyshire area, whether that's at home, in your garden or at one of yours or my favourite outdoor spots nearby. If you're not sure where to shoot, I can help you pick somewhere that suits your family and the season.


What to expect


Sessions run between 1 and 2.5 hours depending on which package you choose. There's no rushing, especially with young children involved. Your edited images are delivered through an online gallery, ready for you to view, download and print if you wish.


Packages start from £195. The Moment and The Story cover most family sessions and Generational is available for larger extended family groups of 6 or more.

Booking with me is simple. You'll get a welcome guide with styling tips and advice for preparing the kids, a shared Pinterest board if you need inspiration and so we're on the same page before your session as well as an easy online system for your contract and questionnaire. You're not just booking photos, you're booking an experience designed to feel easy from the first message to the final gallery.

Analogue 35mm Film Photography


Fancy something a little different alongside your digital gallery? I'll bring my film camera along and shoot a roll of 35mm during your session. It takes a little longer to come back since film is developed and scanned separately, but that wait is part of what makes it feel special.

Prefer a clean studio setting instead of home or outdoors? Studio time can be added to any package. Just let me know when you book and I'll take care of the rest.
