I spend most of the day just blending in so I can catch the bits you might miss. It is about the big laughs with your friends and the way your dad looks at you or those few minutes after the ceremony where you finally get to catch your breath. I want to capture the energy of the room exactly as it is so your photos actually feel like your wedding.
When it comes to couple portraits we can keep it very low key or go all out and be artistic - it's entirely up to you! We might go for a short stroll or drive to another location but I will never make you do anything that feels fake or awkward. It is just a nice chance for you to have some quiet time together while I get some photos of you both just being yourselves.
I usually have an old 35mm film camera with me too. There is a certain soul to film that you just cannot get with digital and it is perfect for those grainy and timeless moments.
Wedding Collections
I have kept my wedding collections simple so you can focus on enjoying your day. Whether you are planning a quiet morning ceremony or a full day celebration with all your favorite people I have a package that will fit your plans.
From £850
Up to 4 hours of coverage. Perfect for smaller celebrations and micro weddings.
From £1,700
Up to 8 or 10 hours of coverage. From morning prep until the dance floor is full.
From £2,500
Full day coverage with a second photographer and a fine art album to keep.
Just in case you were wondering
What if we are awkward in front of the camera?
Honestly almost everyone tells me this and it is totally normal. I do not do stiff posing or make you stand in weird positions for hours. I just give you a little bit of direction and let you be yourselves so the photos feel real and look natural.
Pre-Wedding/Engagement Sessions are great for a 'practice run' before your big day, it also helps your to feel more at ease in front of the camera and in front of me as we get to know each other in person.
Do you travel outside of Derbyshire?
Absolutely! While I love being a Derbyshire wedding photographer, I travel all over the UK. Let me know where you're getting married and I can provide a custom quote that includes any necessary travel or accommodation expenses.
What if we want something a bit different?
That is absolutely fine. I know every wedding is unique and I am always happy to chat about bespoke coverage or shorter days that fit your plans perfectly.
HOW DO WE SECURE OUR DATE?
Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. I keep your date pencilled in for 2 weeks after our discovery call.
To secure your date, I require a signed contract and a non-refundable booking fee of 20% of your chosen package.
The final balance is due 4 weeks before your wedding. Payment schedules are also available.
